Glyphosate Kills Lactobacillus Bacteria

I’ve been diving into probiotic biochemistry past
few weeks.  Here is an important finding I’ve discovered
based of several papers that have been published.

Manganese is a mineral that does’t get much
respect….ie for decades very little research was
conducted on it.

However, it turns out that manganese has some
very important functions.  It is required for energy
production in mitochondria and it is part of the
antioxidant enzyme manganese superoxide dismutase.

It turns out that Lactobacillus bacteria have an
extraordinarily high requirement for manganese,
much more than most other genus.

Now, one of the reasons Roundup/glyphosate is so
terribly toxic is that it is a powerful chelator of minerals.
The two minerals glyphosate binds most effectively and
strongly are manganese and cobalt (cobalt is part of the
vitamin B12 molecule).

In our industry, we are most concerned with glyphosate’s
ability to chelate manganese and thus make it unavailable
to other organisms, such as plants, humans…and lactobacillus
probiotic bacteria.  This explains how and why glyphosate is so
effective at disrupting the human microbiome and causing dysbiosis.

Summary:  Lactobacillus bacteria have a high requirement for
manganese.  Glyphosate powerfully binds manganese making it
unavailable for lactobacillus bacteria….causing them to die. With the
lactobacillus population seriously compromised,  other pathogens
are able to grow.

It is critical to only purchase organically grown foods to avoid
glyphosate exposure.
